Who It's For
You can't get through life alone.
And that's by design.

Cottonwood Clients
If you’re currently enrolled in Cottonwood IOP or Aftercare, Trailhead Adventures is already part of your experience. As the experiential program progresses through its seasonal schedule, IOP groups join Trailhead Adventures for sessions tied directly to what they’re working on clinically.
You don’t need to sign up separately. You don’t need to prepare anything. Just show up willingly.
Adolescents
Trailhead Adventures works with youth ages 13 and up enrolled in Cottonwood’s juvenile clinical services. The ropes course and group activities are particularly effective for young people who haven’t yet developed the walls adults spend years building.
Seeing a teenager on the tower for the first time, choosing to push through fear with their peers cheering from below, is something that sticks. Not just with them but with everyone watching.

Partner Agencies
Do you run treatment groups, youth programs, school counseling services, court programs, or any other environment where people need to open up — but won’t?
Trailhead Adventures offers facilitated group sessions for outside organizations. We bring the activities, adapts them to your group’s needs, and delivers a session designed to shift the energy of a room and create real connection between participants.
What it works best for:
- Substance use and behavioral health treatment groups
- Domestic violence and trauma recovery programs
- Juvenile diversion and court-mandated youth programming
- Counseling teams and clinical staff who need to work better together
Coming Soon: The JO Program
The Juvenile Outdoor Experience is Trailhead’s next chapter is a structured programming for youth and families that brings parents and kids into the same experiential setting to build trust, communication, and a new shared language.
If you’d like to be notified when the JO Program launches, or if you’re an agency interested in piloting this with a group, reach out directly.
